Starting June, customers already using PlanningWiz Version 3 will benefit from the new features coming with the first ready-to-go release. As monthly fees include all upgrades and updates, those new features are 100% free of charge for our customers.

 

The new features coming with this release are:

 

Enhanced Printing option

Printing is now easier due to the powerful features included:

 

o Print Preview for plans, with real time change display when different options are selected;

o Option to modify the scale of a plan;

o Paper size selection menu;

o Option to set paper orientation as “Portrait” or “Landscape”. For best results, set up your printing preferences from your printer’s properties page;

o Option to display grid, as a convenient visual scale reference in the print out;

o Option to add “Comments” in the footer of the print out;

o Option to display icon names and dimensions in the print out. This option creates a list of the icons included in your plan in the print out;

 

Plans print with a header, which includes plan name, retailer’s logo and contact details, your comments, date printed, scale and even an itemized list of objects.

Option to edit user account data and change password

Users can now easily change the contact information provided when creating their account. This option will take the user to the "edit" screen, from where one can add, modify, and delete information which have been entered in the registration process. The function also displays a shortcut to users’ plans. This function is visible only after login.

New tools in the tool bar:

Dimension Tool

The Dimension Tool is used to place dimension bars anywhere within the working area and is also very useful for surveys where you put in the dimension tool first, and then can bring wall and windows to meet it.

Arrow Tool

When you want to draw the viewer's attention to a place in the working area, you might consider placing an arrow pointing to the portion needing additional highlighting.

Full Screen

You can use PlanningWiz in window as well as in full-screen mode, for the most dramatic display of the planner. In full-screen mode the planner occupies the entire screen, giving users more of a viewing area.

 

Undo / Redo buttons

We have created a shortcut to the file menu similar buttons. You can go back in time up to 200 edits with the undo command and you can then go forward again with the redo command.

     

Floor and Floor Settings

From now on one can also create floor surfaces. To do that, click once on the Floor Tool displayed in the tool bar to activate it, then your mouse pointer will be ready to define your floored area. Floors are defined by two or more points, which can be moved or deleted at any time. After you select the first point, a banding line follows your cursor indicating the floor orientation. Once the floor is drawn, you can drag any point to any distance or angle.

To select textures and colors for your floor type, use the Floor Settings tab in the sidebar area. Make sure the floor area is selected, then choose the texture you want to use on the floor and apply the pattern by clicking on the Fill Tool. From the color picker tool you can apply color on the textures. Click on the color chart to choose a color and make sure that the vertical bars next to the color- picker are at the middle, so that the preview area dynamically displays the color you are about to set and Apply button to finish.

Object’s dimensions display

Depth and width are now displayed for each object added in the work area. Also, as you resize the object, the actual length or width of the object will be displayed, using the existing measuring system.

Search Objects

This is a field located in the side bar, under the Furniture tab, to help you find quickly the needed objects.
